Hi, I'm Katie! I'm a lecturer in the English Department here at BMCC, and I get to do what I love every day — teach writing and literature to students who surprise me constantly with their insights and creativity.
I believe your voice matters. Whether we're composing an essay, analyzing a poem, or diving into Shakespeare, my goal is always the same: to help you find your voice, trust it, and use it with confidence. I'm a graduate of NYU's MFA program and my own writing has appeared in the Sierra Nevada Review, Barely South Review, Rappahannock Review, Gandy Dancer, and other publications.
